Desert Overnight: Dune Adventures & Stargazing

Join us on a relaxing adventure deep into the heart of the Omani desert. As we drive across the golden sands, you might be lucky enough to spot rare black camels along the way. We’ll stop in the middle of the peaceful desert, where the only sound is the soft wind dancing over the dunes.

You’ll have time to walk barefoot on the warm sand, take beautiful photos, and watch the sky come alive with colors as the sun sets. While you enjoy the view, we’ll serve you snacks and drinks to make the moment even more special.

Then, choose your overnight experience:

Option 1: Al Khadaf Desert Camp

Just 15 km off-road, this authentic Bedouin-style camp offers a traditional overnight stay in a Bedouin tent, with an outside toilet. It’s the perfect option for those who want a close desert experience without going too far off the grid.

Option 2: Deep Desert Camp (after Al Hashman)

For true adventurers, journey 130 km deep into the Rub’ al Khali — home to some of the highest sand dunes in the world. This remote and quiet camp offers either a Bedouin tent with outside toilet or a desert lodge with a private bathroom for extra comfort. It’s a magical place where silence stretches for miles, and the stars shine brighter than ever.

As night falls, gather around the bonfire under a sky full of stars. Our local Omani guide will share stories passed down through generations, bringing the desert’s history to life. Enjoy a delicious buffet dinner, then rest in your tent or lodge, surrounded by pure desert silence.

In the morning, wake up to the fresh desert breeze and enjoy a hearty breakfast. Whether you stayed close or went far, this experience will leave you with deep memories of the beauty, stillness, and soul of Oman’s desert.
